This cleanser is very gentle on the skin. I was initially using this only as a morning cleanser as it cleanses without stripping the skin. But I started using this as a night cleanser when I started tretinoin and it has been so soothing whilst effectively cleansing my skin. I use this as a second cleanse on the days I wear makeup.
