The Holy Grail of Concealers!

Coverage: The coverage is incredible – full and flawless, yet it doesn’t feel heavy. Just a small dab is enough to cover up dark spots, and it blends out so smoothly without caking up. Longevity: It stays on all day without creasing or fading, which is perfect if you’re someone who needs your makeup to last from morning to night. Plus, it has a matte finish that keeps shine at bay, so no need for constant touch-ups. Packaging: The wand applicator is a lifesaver because it’s big enough to cover larger areas quickly, but still precise enough to use for spot concealing. I also love the purple and gold design – it feels cute and fancy!

Flawless Coverage for Medium Skin: My Shape Tape Concealer Review

Hey everyone! Today, I’m reviewing a cult favorite in the beauty world – the Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer. I have a medium skin tone, so finding a concealer that blends seamlessly and gives great coverage without looking cakey is always the goal. Here’s my experience after using Shape Tape for10 months. Packaging & First Impressions: First, let’s talk about the packaging. The doe-foot applicator is large and makes application quick and easy. A little goes a long way, so I don’t need much product to cover blemishes or highlight my face. The bottle is sturdy and gives off a premium vibe, which I appreciate since it’s on the higher end in terms of price. Shade & Color Match: For my medium skin tone, I chose the shade 53N. The color match was surprisingly accurate, which is often tricky with concealers! I use it mainly to brighten my under-eye area and spot conceal around my face, and it blends in effortlessly with my skin tone, giving me a natural yet perfected look. Application & Coverage: Now for the application—this concealer is super pigmented! It gives full coverage with just a small amount. I like to dot a little under my eyes, around my nose, and on any spots that need concealing, then blend it out with a damp beauty sponge or brush. What I love about the Shape Tape is that it doesn’t settle into fine lines or cake up, especially under my eyes, which is a problem I’ve had with other concealers. Despite being full coverage, it feels lightweight on my skin, which is perfect for everyday wear. It blends seamlessly and dries to a matte finish, so I don’t need to set it with too much powder, though I do use a light dusting to make sure it stays in place all day. How It Performs for My Medium Skin Tone: One of the things I was worried about with a full-coverage concealer is that it might look too heavy or unnatural on my medium skin tone, but that wasn’t the case at all. It brightens and highlights my skin without making me look ashy or washed out, which can sometimes happen with concealers that don’t match well. I also use a darker shade for contouring, and it blends out beautifully to create a natural-looking contour that complements my skin tone perfectly. Longevity & Wear: The staying power of this concealer is amazing! I’ve worn it for a full day, and it barely budged, even through [insert activity: hot weather, long workdays, etc.]. I don’t need to do many touch-ups, and it keeps my skin looking fresh without creasing or fading. It’s also hydrating enough that it doesn’t make my skin feel dry, which is a win for my combination skin. Pros: Full Coverage: A little goes a long way, providing great coverage for blemishes, dark circles, and redness. Long-Lasting: Stays put all day without creasing or fading. Blendable: Works well for both concealing and contouring, with shades that complement medium skin tones beautifully. Matte Finish: Controls shine but doesn’t dry out the skin. Cons: Price: It’s on the pricier side, but the quality makes it worth the investment. If you have dry skin, you might need to prep with extra moisturizer to avoid it clinging to dry patches. Final Thoughts: All in all, the Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer has definitely lived up to the hype for me. Its full coverage, long wear, and ability to blend perfectly with my medium skin tone make it a staple in my makeup routine. Whether I’m going for a full glam look or just need a quick touch-up, Shape Tape delivers every time. If you’re someone with a medium complexion looking for a concealer that provides amazing coverage without feeling heavy, this is definitely worth trying!

The concealer is not easily dry so you can apply it easily. The texture also very smooth and silky, blended easily by using hand, sponge and also brushes. It has buildable texture for better cover up blemishes. Definitely worth to try and it last longer.
