Etat Pur ETAT PUR Vitamin C 10% Serum

When I received this product, I was really pleased to use it but the moment I opened the box, I realised the bottle is broken. I was wondering if it was the courier that broke it, not able to tell but one thing is for certain, the glass bottle is very very very thin. Think even if it had survived delivery, it might have broken in my hands if u accidentally knocked it over. The moment I opened the wet soggy box, there was a very strong smell coming from the serum that wasn’t particularly pleasant. It smelt like rust or had a really strong metal smell. Not really something I would like to put on my face. Although I wasn’t able to put this on my face, it felt really thick and had an oily texture. I’m not sure it would absorb well. It’s a shame I didn’t get to try the product but after smelling and touching it, maybe it was a blessing that the bottle broke.

Used it every day for a week and although there aren’t any large visible changes yet, the formula is good and is suitable for my skin. Will continue to monitor my progress as it goes along.

This vitamin c serum is thicker than most vitamin c serums I have used, it feels more like a face oil than serum. One good thing about this serum is that it stays clear and won't turn yellow/orange after a while like other serums. Initially at the start of my trial, the serum made my skin peel but after a month of use, my skin got used to the serum. I can visibly see my skin glowing after one month of use.

The formula itself is lightweight, so combination/oily to breakout-prone people, this might just be your thing. There’s just something so comforting about a skincare brand that genuinely wants the best for your skin’s health. My Etat Pur experience reminded me of the need for simple yet effective skincare in the beauty sphere.

Not really a good experience as it is too oily and sticky to be a serum. More like a face oil instead. Not really suitable for my skin as it doesn't get absorbed easily and clogged the pore. It stays oily.
